There are MANY accusations in this section. From Oedipus to Teiresias, from Teiresias to Oedipus and Oedipus to Creon. What do you make of these accusations? Who seems to be the most thoughtful and logical in all of this? What accounts for the others' behaviors?
Oedipus seems like a confident and caring man. However, he is a little self centered and arrogant too. Why does Sophocles work so hard to portray Oedipus in this light? The chorus is the voice of reason. How do they seem reasonable in this section (to page 8 - where we stopped). Finally, this play is filled with ironies. Which ones did you notice, and how do they add to the work of literature?
